|Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles brings the characters from the movie right to the video game screen in a platform action game. In this Nintendo NES video game, a mission map is available from an overhead view for navigation and to show progress. Each world features a different set of obstacles that have to be beaten by the four turtles, and a total of six missions make up the game. Furthermore, the turtles will receive messages from Splinter and April to help them when needed. Just as people do when they are active, the turtles lose energy. To boost their energy in this Nintendo NES video game, they have to find pizza to eat, which is their favorite food. The more pizza they find to eat, the stronger their health bar will be. In Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, several types of objects, including weapons and throwing stars, are strewn about in the levels to be picked up and saved for battles. Each mission contains a boss to beat at the end in this platform action game. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is suited for play by pre-teens and teenagers due to the mild cartoon violence.|
